Yes! We recommend scheduling preventative maintenance twice annually to combat future repairs. Keeping your system tuned up helps you avoid costly breakdowns.
Generally, there are no significant health or safety concerns associated with the preventative cleaning of mini-split systems. However, it is important to hire a trained and licensed professional to clean your mini-split system to ensure that the cleaning process is done correctly and safely. During the cleaning process, the technician may use cleaning solutions and tools to remove dirt, dust, and other contaminants from the system's components, which can improve the system's efficiency and indoor air quality.
The technician will also inspect the system for any potential safety hazards, such as loose or damaged electrical connections, which can be repaired to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the system. It's always a good idea to ask the technician about any safety concerns before the cleaning process begins, and to follow any safety instructions or precautions recommended by the technician.
Twice a year, we test all electrical, drainage, and refrigeration systems using an industry-recommended 14-pt. Inspection checklist. We'll also clean the exterior portion of the system and the dust filters. While ductless systems are known for their reliability, a simple program of regular cleaning and maintenance can keep them running at peak performance for years to come!
