It is not unusual for us to get the question, “Can a minisplit system really keep my house warm enough in the winter, even when it gets cold?”
The answer is most certainly “YES!”
Heat pumps in general have come a long way since their birth here in the US and ductless heat pumps have come even farther. Several manufacturers are offering systems that continue to deliver efficient, steady heat at an outdoor temperature well below freezing.
It is simply a myth that these systems are meant only for very mild climates.
