Driving east on I-90 through Central Washington, it’s hard to miss the wind turbines dotting the nearby hills. Starting in April, you can get up close to some atPSE’s Wild Horse Wind and Solar Facility located about 16 miles east of Ellensburg. Visit the Renewable Energy Center, take a tour or use the property for recreation.

- April 26, May 10 and May 24: Wildflower and Wind Power Walks
- June 7 and 8, Run Like the Wind Festival, the second annual 5K, 10K, half marathon and full marathon
Plus, you can bring the kids for weekly activities including hands on arts, crafts and science projects starting at 1:00 p.m. every Saturday between June 21 and August 23.
